Anthropic's API terms prohibit using this content to train its public models.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, behavioral tracking pixels, or analytics that fingerprint individual users.

3a. AI-Driven Personalization

The Software uses large-language-model APIs (currently Anthropic, see Section 3 above) to power features including but not limited to: a wizard onboarding flow personalized to your role ("Trial Personalization Engine"), AI-drafted LinkedIn messages, contact briefs and campaign analyses, message-history voice learning, and trial outreach drafts. When an AI feature runs, the relevant context for that feature (typically contact names, role, company, headline, message history snippets, your free-form notes, and configuration) is sent to the LLM API to generate the requested output.

Public LinkedIn intel for trial recipients: When a trial is issued with a LinkedIn handle, we may use the LLM provider's web-search tool to research limited PUBLIC professional information about that recipient (current role, work history, public statements, industry context) to personalize their first-run experience. Searches are limited to public professional sources; we do not seek non-professional, personal, family, health, or other sensitive information. Low-confidence research results are discarded.

Opting out: You can disable AI features from the Settings page inside the Software. With AI features disabled, no contact data is sent to the LLM API, but certain personalization affordances will be unavailable.

4. Data Retention

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email support@kalonji.app from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

6. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above plus the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link because there is nothing to opt out of.

7. EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing are:

Data is processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA / UK / Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The Software uses your browser's localStorage to remember your session, preferences, and the last view you were on. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings; doing so will log you out and reset preferences.

9. Browser Notifications

If you grant notification permission to Kalonji, your browser may receive prompts from us (e.g. daily-focus reminders). You can revoke permission at any time through your browser's site-settings panel.

10. Kalonji Lens (Browser Extension)

Kalonji Lens is an optional browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Installing the extension is voluntary; the core Software works without it. When installed, Lens runs only on two specific origins listed in its manifest: linkedin.com and kalonji.app. It does not run on any other site.

What Lens captures from LinkedIn. While you are browsing LinkedIn People-Search results pages (URLs starting with https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/people/), Lens reads the same data your browser is already displaying:

Lens does not capture: private messages, contact information that LinkedIn hides behind logins (phone, email), connection lists, posts, comments, photos, or any data outside the visible search-results column. It does not log keystrokes, mouse movements, or pages you visit outside LinkedIn search.

Where the captured data goes. Captured profiles are sent to your Kalonji account at https://kalonji.app using the same secure channel as the rest of the Software. They are stored in your account exactly the same way as profiles from a LinkedIn data-export upload (see Section 1 and Section 4). The data is not shared with any third party beyond the sub-processors listed in Section 3.

How to stop Lens at any time. Disable or uninstall the extension through your browser's extensions panel (chrome://extensions, about:addons, or Safari → Settings → Extensions). Once removed, no further captures occur. Profiles already captured into your Kalonji account remain in your account; you can delete them at any time via Settings → Delete My LinkedIn Data.

What Lens does not do. Lens does not bypass any LinkedIn paywall, anti-scraping protection, or login wall. It reads only what your logged-in browser is already showing you, just as you could read it yourself. Lens does not solicit logins, never asks for your LinkedIn password, and never connects to any server other than https://kalonji.app.

11. Security

We protect your information with TLS in transit, encrypted database storage at rest, signed session tokens, and limited employee access on a need-to-know basis. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you and any required authorities promptly as required by law.

12. Children

The Software is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at support@kalonji.app and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Software after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
